K-Day is short for Keweenaw Day and is a longstanding tradition at Michigan Tech. K-day is known for many different events and activities for students to get acclaimated to another academic year.

Student organizations head out to McLain State Park and set up displays and demonstrations for students. K-Day will be held on September 9 from 12:00-4:00pm. Last year at K-Day, there was a lot of free food, great live music, and other fun activities.

Students have two choices for getting out to the State Park. They can drive out to McLain or take a bus, the bus can get you to K-Day for no charge! Buses in years past have left the Memorial Union Building about every half hour to take students out to the park.
